Profile
About Saddlestone
Saddlestone is a Genesis Land Development community in the Saddle Ridge area of Northeast Calgary, immediately beside Savanna and north of 80 Avenue NE. It was developed through the 2010s and is late in its build-out.
Like its neighbour, its appeal is proximity to amenities that already exist rather than to lot choice. The Genesis Centre, Saddletowne station and the retail around Saddletowne Circle are all a short drive, and the surrounding communities are established rather than under construction.
Remaining new product is concentrated in townhomes and duplexes. Single-family homes here trade mostly as resale, so buyers who want new construction with lot selection generally look north at Cornerstone or Homestead.
Commute note: Approximate drive to downtown Calgary via Metis Trail and Deerfoot Trail, or the Blue Line from Saddletowne. Off-peak roughly 23 minutes, peak roughly 30 minutes.
Highlights
- Short drive to Saddletowne station on the Blue Line CTrain.
- Genesis Centre recreation facility and Saddletowne retail nearby.
- Established surrounding communities rather than open construction.
- Entry-level townhome and duplex product.
Considerations
- Late build-out, so lot choice is very limited.
- Most single-family activity is resale rather than new construction.
- Aircraft flight paths affect parts of the north-east.
- Condominium fees apply to townhome product; confirm what they cover.
