Glacier Ridge

Large master-planned NW community along Symons Valley Road with mountain views and multiple builders.

Profile

About Glacier Ridge

Glacier Ridge is one of the largest active developments in Northwest Calgary, north of Stoney Trail along Symons Valley Road and adjacent to Sage Hill and Nolan Hill. Ridge topography and ravines are built into the park plan, and the community offers laned, front-drive, estate and townhome product from several builders.

It is early in a long build-out. Schools, retail and recreation are on the plan but not yet open, so residents use Sage Hill Quarter, Beacon Hill and Creekside for daily needs. Buyers get choice and views; they also take on construction years and a car-based commute.

Commute note: Approximate drive to downtown via Shaganappi or Stoney Trail and Crowchild Trail. Off-peak roughly 28 minutes, peak roughly 40 minutes.

  • Families who want new north-west construction with a broad builder choice.
  • People who prefer the Symons Valley corridor to the north Calgary corridor.

Look elsewhere if

  • If the commute matters more than the view, Livingston and Carrington sit closer to Deerfoot and Centre Street.
