About Pine Creek

Pine Creek is at the southern boundary of Calgary along Sheriff King Street, south of Yorkville. The community offers larger front-drive and estate lots than most of the south-west, backing onto the Pine Creek valley in places.

It is the furthest south of the Macleod corridor communities, which means the longest drive to downtown and the least developed local services today.

Commute note: Approximate drive to downtown via Macleod Trail. Off-peak roughly 26 minutes, peak roughly 35 minutes.

Highlights

  • Larger lots and estate product.
  • Pine Creek valley and natural areas nearby.
  • Quick access to Highway 22X and Stoney Trail.

Considerations

  • Longest commute of the south-west communities.
  • Services still developing; rely on Silverado and Shawnessy.

Fit

Who Pine Creek suits

A good fit if

  • Buyers who want new south-west construction with a creek and escarpment setting.
  • People who prefer a smaller community to the large south-east master plans.
  • Commuters who will use Stoney Trail west and Macleod Trail south.

Look elsewhere if

  • If price is the deciding factor, Belmont and Yorkville sit below Pine Creek.
  • If you want a finished community, Silverado has schools and retail already open.
