How Builder Upgrade Packages Work

Most Calgary builders bundle upgrades into tiered packages (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Standard, Premium, Luxury). Packages typically save 10-20% vs. selecting each upgrade individually. Here is what to keep in mind:

Standard / Bronze

$8,000 - $15,000

Typically includes laminate counters, basic fixtures, and standard carpet/flooring. Usually the starting point that builders use in their advertised price.

Premium / Silver

$18,000 - $35,000

Quartz counters, hardwood or LVP main floor, full-height cabinets, upgraded lighting. Where most buyers land. Best balance of cost and resale value.

Luxury / Gold

$40,000 - $65,000+

Premium everything plus spa bathroom, extended island, pot lights throughout, smart home features. Watch for diminishing ROI on the highest-end selections.
